Worms Reproducing Like Crazy and Getting Busy

Posted on Nov 5 2010 - 3:17am by Mike Lieberman

Since I’ve shown you what it’s like feeding my worms, they have gone a mating spree.

They have been reproducing like crazy. I assume that this means that they are really comfortable with their environment.

Not sure that my words could do much justice for how many there are, so hopefully this video can:

Wow, I’ve never seen baby worms before. They must be loving the compost.

Exactly. I def produce too many food scraps to feed them all to the worms, but a small percentage def goes to them. The rest I put in the City Compost bin.

Do they like smoothie scraps better than whole scraps?  You should do a worm feeding experiment!

I think it’s easier for them to eat the blended scraps than the whole ones because they are already mostly broken down.

Mike… I think those are white worms. Not baby red wigglers. Just sayin’. Might be too wet in there.

Yes. That’s what they appear to be. Thanks for the info.
