A New Topic: Garden Recipes

When I posted a question on Facebook asking what posts people would like me to write, recipes were mentioned. I used to keep a raw recipe blog, but stopped that long ago.

Since people are interested, I’ll give em what they want.

To start, once a month, I will post a simple recipe for something that is in season that you can get from your garden or the farmers market.

If there are any fruits or veggies that you are looking for new ideas as how to prepare or have no idea how to prepare, let me know. I’ll try to hook up the recipe.

What’s your thoughts on this new topic? And hit me up with what you’d like to see recipes for.

  1. I’m looking forward to seeing your recipe posts! Of course, a California “in season” recipe will be different from my area, but I can deal with that.

How about something using beets? I’m always curious how to use them in something other than salad…

  2. I like schredded beets in salads. You can roast them, skin them then add a little salt and they are delicious. I’ve made a mild pickling as well with vinegar, mustard and roasted beets too.

Roasted root veg is always good (beets, yams, potatoes, turnips, whatever ya got) with fresh herbs and a little honey.

  3. This will be great! Can’t wait. I haven’t any veggie in mind but I am sure I’ll run into one in the Spring 😉 its sooo cold here all I have on my mind is hot soup and hot drinks 😉

  4. thanks for the info. I try to make my title’s controversial but I don’t have many hits for my blog. Not many people know about it and I haven’t done a whole lot to advertise it.
