Growing My Own Food
From the monthly archives:
Since my first planting in May I’ve pretty much forgotten about feeding my plants. Some of them are starting to show the ill signs.
The plants in the traditional pots and cinder blocks have been getting ravaged by some critters. My guess is that it’s squirrels.
Neither me nor my basil plant are fans of this cold weather.
I started to build the greenhouses at my Grandmother’s and got her opinion on them.
The greenhouse for the containers on my fire escape is finally set up.
By insulating and covering up the hanging soda bottle planters, I’m hoping to extend the life of the plants.
I used phone books to raise my containers off the ground now that it’s the cold season.
Compost was added to the cucumber container to combat the yellow leaves.
